How do the candles work?
Despite the name, the candles are a hollow tube made in the traditional Hopi Indian way by using a combination of herbal extracts, such as Sage, Chamomile and St. Jonh’s Wort, which are blended in honey, organically grown linen and beeswax.
The candle works in three phases:-
-
A chimney effect draws out debris
-
Mild heat stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation, boosting the immune system and naturally detoxifying
-
Regulation of pressure within the sinuses
The candles burn for approximately 30 minutes,(15 min. per ear). There is no danger of you being burnt as the candles have a filtering system, protecting you from any residue entering the ear. The candle creates a light suction action, which helps to sooth the ear and head region. It is a very gentle and relaxing sensation. Many people report an immediate release of pressure in their head after just one treatment session, although; depending on the condition, a number of treatments may be required.
Once the candles have burnt down a gentle ear and face massage, using essential oils specific to your needs is given. Accupressure is applied to the congested areas.
Treatments last one hour.
Contra-indications
Treatments are not recommended if you have a perforated eardrum, grommets, inflammation or infection of the ear or skin diseases in and around the ear area.
